Still is a personal journal. You can write, check in with a feeling, and use its breathing sessions without creating an account.

This policy includes the optional usage sharing and Still Plus purchase services introduced in version 1.0.3. Earlier versions without those features do not start using them because this policy has changed.

Your writing and preferences

Your journal pages, attached photos, mood check-ins, feelings, and notes are stored on your device. Still also saves your preferences, such as your optional greeting name and your app-lock setting. Still does not send your writing, photos, name, mood values, or feeling selections to the developer, Firebase, RevenueCat, or an AI service. Your Apple device backup settings may include app data.

Home Screen widgets

Still shares today’s mood rating and the number of pages you have written with its own widget extension on your device. Journal text and feeling notes are never shared with widgets. Widget information can be visible to anyone who can see your Home Screen, and turning on the app lock does not hide it. Remove the widgets if you would rather they were not visible there.

App lock

If you turn on the app lock, Still asks Apple’s authentication system to confirm it is you, using Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode. Still never receives your face, fingerprint, or passcode.

Exports and backups

You choose when to export your writing or save a backup, and where the file goes. A file you save to a cloud provider or send through another app is then handled by that provider or app. Still backup files are not separately encrypted, so anyone who obtains one may be able to read it. Keep exports and backups somewhere you trust.

Still has no account-based cloud sync and makes no automatic server backup.

Optional usage sharing

Usage sharing is off by default. If you turn on Share usage data, Still uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand which features people use and where the app needs improvement. Events include completing a writing activity, moving through onboarding, and interacting with subscription options. They describe the action, not what you wrote or how you felt.

Google Analytics also processes an app-instance identifier, app and device information, and approximate location derived from network information. Still does not request access to your device’s location for analytics. Technical information needed to operate the Firebase SDK may also be processed. See Google’s privacy policy and Firebase privacy information.

When usage sharing is on, Still also links this app-instance identifier to your anonymous RevenueCat customer record. This lets RevenueCat send trial, purchase, renewal, cancellation and expiry events to Google Analytics, including when the app is closed, so we can understand how feature usage relates to subscriptions.

You can turn usage sharing off in Still’s Settings. This stops Firebase collection through the app, resets the local analytics identity, and asks RevenueCat to remove the link used for Google Analytics. That removal needs a working network connection; Still retries when the app next contacts RevenueCat, and events may continue through the existing link until removal reaches RevenueCat. Turning sharing off does not automatically erase information already received by service providers. Still does not include advertising SDKs, request an advertising identifier, enable ad personalization, or track you across other apps and websites for advertising.

Purchases and subscriptions

In versions that offer Still Plus, Still connects to RevenueCat to check access and support purchases and restoration through Apple. Apple and RevenueCat process purchase information, including transaction and product identifiers, subscription status, and an anonymous RevenueCat customer identifier. RevenueCat also provides subscription reporting. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy and Apple’s privacy policy.

Still does not receive your payment card details. You do not need to create a Still account or provide an email address to keep a journal. The optional greeting name stays on your device.

Purchase services operate separately from optional Firebase usage sharing. Turning off usage sharing or removing the app does not cancel a subscription. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account. Subscription use is covered by Apple’s standard license agreement.

Optional feedback

In versions with Send feedback, you can choose to send a message from Settings or an optional invitation on My day. Sending feedback is never required to use Still. The form sends only your message, its category, the email address you enter if you want a reply, and the Still version, build number, and iOS version shown by your device. It does not attach journal entries, photos, mood values, your greeting name, or purchase and analytics identifiers. Please avoid including sensitive personal details in feedback.

Feedback is received and stored using Cloudflare Workers and D1, and a copy is sent to our support inbox. We use it to respond, troubleshoot problems, and improve Still. Cloudflare processes the network information needed to receive a request and limit spam; we do not store IP addresses in the feedback database. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Feedback is automatically removed from the active feedback database after 180 days. Email copies may be kept while needed to respond to or resolve your request. You can request deletion using the reference displayed after submission, or the email address you supplied. Feedback is separate from optional usage sharing and App Store review requests; choosing not to share usage data does not prevent you from sending feedback.

Your choices

You can delete individual journal pages, their attached photos, and feeling check-ins in the app. Removing Still from your device may remove your data stored locally. Copies you exported, backups you saved, and copies held by a storage provider are separate and must be managed by you.

Local journal content stays on your device until you delete it or the app’s local data. Service providers retain purchase and usage records according to the service’s settings and applicable requirements. Purchase records may be needed to restore access, prevent fraud, resolve payment disputes, or meet accounting and legal obligations. Deleting a local note does not delete historical purchase or usage records.

You can contact us about access to or deletion of service records relating to you. We may need information to locate the relevant record because Still does not require an account. You do not need to send your journal content to make a privacy request. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to correct data, restrict or object to processing, receive a copy, or complain to your local data-protection authority. Google and RevenueCat may process service data outside your country under their applicable data-protection terms.

If you contact support, the information you choose to provide is used to respond to your request. Avoid including private journal entries unless you want to share them for that purpose.
