Write your first page
Open My day and choose a fresh page or one of the guided pages — morning, gratitude, evening, circle of control, or daily reflection. A prompt can be added straight into the page you are writing. Still asks before discarding a page with unsaved changes.
Check in with a feeling
Choose a mood for the day from the five options, or open the feeling wheel to name something more specific. You can pick several feelings and add a note. Today’s check-in updates in place rather than adding a second one, and every check-in can be edited or deleted later.
Take a breathing session
A session runs for a minute on a four-count inhale and a six-count exhale, with a character that moves with you. You can pause, resume, or restart, and leaving the app pauses the session rather than losing it. Still respects Reduce Motion.
Add a widget
Touch and hold an empty area of your Home Screen, choose Edit → Add Widget, search for Still, and select a widget. Daily reflection, My mood, Write a little, and Feeling wheel are available, and tapping one opens the matching place in the app. Journal text never appears on a widget.
Save a backup
Open Settings → Backup & restore → Save a backup, then save the .stillbackup file using Files. The backup holds your journal pages, favorites, mood history, and feeling check-ins. Keep a copy before you change devices or remove the app. Your preferences and app-lock setting are not part of this file.
Restore a backup
Open Settings → Backup & restore → Restore backup, choose your file, review the preview, and confirm. Restoring merges the backup with what is already there: pages you already have stay as they are, so restoring is not a way to undo newer edits. Backups are limited to 50 MB.
Export a readable copy
Open Settings → Export journal, choose the pages and a format — PDF, Word, or plain text — and use the share sheet to save or send the document. Still does not need a connected email account and never sends anything from a server of its own.
Unlock Still
Turn the app lock on in Settings. Use Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode to unlock. Still has no separate password and no recovery account, so deleting the app is not a way to get back in — keep a backup of your writing before trying anything like that.
Still Plus and usage sharing
In versions that offer Still Plus, open Settings → Still Plus to see the available plans or restore purchases using the same Apple Account. Apple shows the price and any available trial before you confirm. A trial is only available when Apple confirms eligibility; changing plans does not create a second trial. Existing users keep their original Still features.
Manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account’s Subscriptions settings. Deleting Still does not cancel it. Check-ins, breathing, and access to read, edit, delete, back up, or export existing entries remain available without an active subscription. If Still cannot verify access, try again when connected or choose Restore purchases.
Share usage data is optional and off by default. You can change it in Still’s Settings. It helps us understand feature use without receiving your writing, photos, name, mood values, or selected feelings. See Still’s privacy policy for details.
Contact support
In versions with Send feedback, open Settings → Send feedback to share an idea or report a problem. You can also use the optional feedback invitation on My day after your sixth app opening. Add an email address only if you would like a reply. Still sends your message and basic app-version details without attaching your journal or check-ins. If sending fails, your text stays in the open form so you can retry. Keep the reference shown after a successful submission if you need to follow up.
Email [email protected]. Include your device model, your iOS version, your Still version, and a short description of what happened. You do not need to send your journal entries or a backup to report an ordinary problem.
